Moe's Cantina 3518 N. Clark
Chicago, IL 60610 (773) 248-0002 Moe's Website
Formerly a car wash, Moe’s Cantina has been converting it into a modern Mexican cantina -- with lots of Spanish and South American flair. The cavernous barrel-roofed space features stained concrete bar tops with copper facades, an open kitchen, three glass garage doors that retract for an al fresco atmosphere, ten 50” plasma televisions showing slides of Mexico’s beautiful landscape as well as art from various Spanish artists, and during dinner hours Moe’s features a large selection of Mexican rock music. The menu features small plate choices like skewers and tacos, plus more substantial fare like banana-wrapped sea bass with chipotle sauce and parrillada de carnes, with rib-eye, rib ends, skirt steak and bone-in chicken served on a tabletop grill. Moe’s has quickly become famous for the sangrias and margaritas. So who is Moe? He's a friend of the family who developed quite a reputation for his culinary skills.
